Karina Zilberman is an award-winning educator, singer, and community builder known for creating soulful spaces where playfulness, presence, and depth come together.
Originally from Argentina, Karina moved to the U.S. in 2000 and began a new chapter as cantorial soloist with Rabbi Mitchell Chefitz and Dr Alan Mason at Temple Israel of Greater Miami. There, she blended her artistic talents with pastoral care and helped revitalize the congregation through music and meaningful community experiences.
Later, at the 92nd Street Y in New York, she founded Shababa, a groundbreaking intergenerational spiritual community that became a model for joyful, and deeply meaningful Jewish life. Through 92Y Shababa, Karina pioneered "The Art of Engaging," an approach rooted in music, intention, and emotional connection—earning her the 2012 Covenant Award for excellence in Jewish education.
Across every room; a boardroom, a faith based community, a retreat in the jungle, Karina does the same thing: she creates the conditions for people to stop performing the right answer long enough to hear the one they already have.
Today, she shares her teachings and original mindfulness tools with community leaders and educators worldwide through The Art of Engaging. She also works directly with corporate teams and organizations — through workshops like Getting Unstuck — Even in Success; using the spirit of play and the arts, to rebuild trust, creativity, and connection among colleagues. She also co-leads mindfulness retreats in Costa Rica and around the world with her husband, Marcelo Bronstein (Rabbi, Psychotherapist, and Mindfulness guide) offering immersive experiences for personal growth in nature that weave together Jewish wisdom, psychology, creativity, and rest.
